Hairmetal Shotgun Zombie Massacre is a satirical horror/comedy about written by Jvstin Whitney and Joshua Allan Vargas, and directed by Joshua Allan Vargas. When I watched the Hairmetal Shotgun Zombie Massacre: The Movie Trailer, I thought of the Evil Dead and Return of the Living Dead (even though I’m not sure if I have even seen Return of the Living Dead). There is a creepy book where if you read a passage you will be able to control an army of the dead. The creepy book reminded me of the Necronomicon (a Sumerian version of the Book of the Dead called Naturom Demonto in the earlier movies) and the rotting corpses rising from the graves reminded me of Return of the Living Dead. Of course, the cabin in the woods is very Evil Dead.
“Hairmetal Shotgun Zombie Massacre: The Movie” is about a hair metal band that, while struggling to find its own identity, decides to record its first full-length album is a creepy cabin located in the middle of a notorious cemetery. Chock full of weed, coke, and booze, the band discovers a secret in the cellar and unwittingly open a gate that allows demons to possess the corpses in the surrounding cemetery. Forced to have to survive the night and with the odds getting slimmer, the band must battle hordes of the demonic undead and hope to get a record deal somewhere in the process.
Featuring original music by Tim “Ripper” Owens and Marzi Montazeri, and with guest appearances from Tom Araya, Randy Blythe, and David Vincent.
