The video for the Fontus Self Filling Water Bottle is a bit arty and not all that informative but basically, what he have here is a bottle with the technology to pull water from the atmosphere. The idea is that you never have to worry about running out of water. The Fontus Self Filling Water Bottle was designed to capture the moisture contained in the air, condense it and store it as safe drinking water. Powered by solar cells, Fontus can harvest up to 0.8 liters of water in an hour’s time under the right climatic conditions. That’s the bold claim anyway. It doesn’t seem to be available yet and they are planning to have a crowdfunding campaign so I guess it will turn up on Kickstarter or IndieGogo soon. You can find more details on the Fontus website.
It looks like there are two similar products, one of which has been specifically designed for bicycles. Both of them would be a great help in surviving a zombie apocalypse or even a siege. Humans need water and even without food, we can survive a long time as long as we have some water to drink.
