Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster is being released on January 19th, 2016. Resident Evil was the first game I ever played on a PlayStation. I’m talking about the original PlayStation. The PS1 before it was called the PS1. I loved the game and I got my own PlayStation because of it. The story was OK and the voice acting was terrible but they were real human voices. That was a first for me. And after a Nintendo, Resident Evil on the PlayStation was a game for grownups. I never did get to play Resident Evil Zero because it was released on Nintendo GameCube in 2002. I wasn’t going to buy the GameCube to play that one game.
Tomorrow, though, I will finally get to chance to play it as the Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster is being released on several platforms, namely Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Well, they might not be released on all the platforms tomorrow but it will hit Steam. A retail compilation called Resident Evil Origins Collection that includes Resident Evil HD Remaster and Resident Evil Zero HD Remaster will be released on January 22, 2016.
Before Resident Evil, I think the only time I ever killed zombies was in Ghosts ‘n Goblins in the arcade. And I wasn’t very good at it. But practice made me pretty good at Resident Evil. It was one scary game at the time. Resident Evil Zero was created as a prequel to the original game and there are apparently some secrets about the origins of the zombie virus revealed.
