The Evil in Us was at least partially funded at crowdfunding site, IndieGogo but the Evil in Us trailer it looks way too polished to have been made for $24,555 that was raised. So, I guess there was other funding too. From the trailer it looks like it will be a pretty formulaic horror movie with a group of young friends going for a getaway to a remote cabin
in the woods on a tropical island. OK, I don’t know where they are going but you know what I’m saying, right?
While on a fourth of July holiday, six best friends fall victim to the insidious plan of a terrorist organization when they unknowingly take a bio-active drug that transforms them into bloodthirsty cannibals.
I have a feeling that by bloodthirsty cannibals they mean zombies.
The crowdfunding campaign finished on September 10, 2014 but it looks like it might be hitting the screens sometime this year. I think a lot of the movie campaigns I see on crowdfunding sites look like lost causes but this already looks like a movie I want to watch so let’s keep our fingers crossed.
The special effects, the blood and gore, look very realistic and it has the potential to be a very scary movie.
