When the full Train to Busan trailer arrives I will post it here but in the meantime, you will have to make do with this Train to Busan teaser trailer. Train to Busan is a Korean action movie about an unknown virus that appears in Seoul and causes aggression and violence in those it infects. Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking too. Zombies. I think the zombie in Train to Busan will be pretty fast like in 28 days Later or World War Z (which I finally watched recently).
Train to Busan is a 2016 South Korean film directed by Yeon Sang-ho and starring Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi and Ma Dong-seok. The film will had its premiere in the Midnight Screenings section at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival on 13 May, 2016. And it sounds like a lot of fun. I have never seen a Korean zombie movie so that in itself will be a novelty.
The review over on Variety.com was mostly positive but it did have this to say:
However, like most Korean blockbusters, the production cannot resist showing off its visual and special effects clout, resulting in a bombastic stunt toward the end that’s incongruous with the film’s lean, gritty style. Likewise, the screenplay piles on the hysteria and the schmaltz in the last leg, and the hitherto restrained cast have no choice but to dial up performances to a borderline farcical level.
