The Zone 261 trailer is new on zomBtees, and I only just came across it now, but it looks like this trailer has been around for more than 3 years. The poster below says that Zone 261 is coming in 2014 and now it’s 2016 and it hasn’t been released yet.
When you watch the Zone 261 trailer you will see that these are no ordinary zombies. They do have rotting flesh and they are probably hungry for human flesh but they are able to form groups and work together. The zombies move quickly and use weapons. The acting didn’t look great but the zombies look pretty scary.
ZONE 261 is about how the Swedish city of Landskrona is infected by a virus that turns people into monsters. In order to prevent the infection from spreading, the military sets the town in quarantine. A few non-infected – a group of Swedes and a group of immigrants – take shelter in the old citadel. While the monsters approach, the old conflicts between the Swedes and the immigrants escalate to the boiling point. Finally, with the monsters knocking on the door, the uninfected are forced to decide who the worst monsters are: The infected out there – or the old enemies in here?
According to the Zone 261 website, it is currently in postproduction and will be released in Swedish cinemas 2016.
We are happy to inform all our fans and co-workers that ZONE 261 is completed in April 2016! An official movie premiere will, however, take a little longer. Our goal is to to have the Swedish theatrical release in the fall of 2016, this is after the movie has made its first appearances at film festivals ariund the world.
